Personnel Profile

Every technician who steps aboard a yacht in our care carries the YachtWatchCare standard with them — trained, certified, and held to the same engineering-first discipline on every job, whether it is a routine inspection or a full refit.

Our personnel are not generalists hired off a job board. They are captains, marine engineers, and certified technicians who have spent real time on boats, in shipyards, and at sea — and every one of them works inside the same structured process, so the quality of the work never depends on who happens to show up.

Training & Certification

Before anyone from our team steps aboard your yacht, they go through a structured training path built specifically around the vessels we care for.

Marine Safety & Compliance

Firefighting, first aid, man-overboard procedure, and the marine safety regulations that apply to the vessel classes we service.

Vessel Systems Training

Hands-on training on engine, electrical, plumbing, and hull systems across the 25–82 foot range of yachts we support.

Manufacturer & Refit Certification

Manufacturer-specific certification on major engine and equipment brands, plus structured refit and new-build technical training.

YachtWatchCare Platform Training

Every technician is trained on our own digital Log Book and checklist system, so their work is documented the same way, every time.

Our Quality Control Process

Quality control at YachtWatchCare is not a single inspection at the end — it is a process built into every job, from assignment to sign-off.

1

Certified & Vetted

Every technician joins the team only after their certifications, references, and hands-on experience are verified.

2

Job Briefing & Checklist

Before boarding, the technician receives a structured digital checklist scoped to the specific job — inspection, maintenance, or refit.

3

Engineering-First Work

Every issue is diagnosed to its root cause and fixed with a proper engineering solution, not a quick patch.

4

Real-Time Digital Logging

Readings, photos, and notes are entered into the digital Log Book as the work happens, not from memory afterward.

5

Supervisor Review

A senior engineer or supervisor reviews the completed checklist and log entries before the job is marked closed.

6

Owner Visibility

The finished, verified record is available to the owner instantly in their Log Book — no phone calls needed to find out what was done.

Shipyard, Refit & Sailing Experience

Behind every YachtWatchCare technician is real time spent on boats, not just in a classroom. Our team includes licensed captains, marine engineers, and refit specialists who have worked in shipyards and boatyards on new-builds and full refits, served as ship’s engineers and deck crew, and spent years hands-on with the systems that keep a yacht running — engines, electrics, hulls, and everything in between. That background is what lets us treat every job, from a simple inspection to a haul-out refit, as an engineering problem with a proper engineering solution.
