Dry Dock Maintenance

When your boat comes out of the water, it’s the only chance to properly service everything below the waterline. Choose your boat type below to see real haul-outs, the land operations we carry out, and to request a quote.

Motor Yacht Haul-Out

Get a tailored quote for your motor yacht’s land operations.

What We Do During Haul-Out
Standard land operations, plus the checks unique to motor yachts.
Haul-Out & Pressure Wash
A professional travel-lift haul-out followed by a full pressure wash to strip marine growth, weed and barnacles from the hull.
Antifouling Application
Surface preparation and a fresh coat of antifouling to protect the hull from marine growth and keep drag — and fuel burn — to a minimum.
Hull Survey & Inspection
A close visual inspection for blisters, cracks and impact damage, so small issues are caught before they become expensive ones.
Zinc Anode Replacement
Sacrificial anodes are checked and replaced to keep underwater metal protected from galvanic corrosion.
Shaft, Propeller & Strut Service
Shafts, propellers, struts and cutless bearings are cleaned, inspected for wear or impact damage, and checked for correct alignment.
Propspeed / Running-Gear Coating
A specialist foul-release coating applied to propellers, shafts and struts to cut marine growth and improve efficiency — typically reapplied yearly.
Seacocks & Through-Hull Fittings
Every valve is opened and closed and checked for stiffness, corrosion, cracking or leaks, along with the through-hull fittings themselves.
Rudder & Steering Gear Check
Rudder, bearings and steering linkage are inspected for wear, play and correct alignment.
Stabilizer Fin Service
Fin and gyro stabilizer systems are inspected, seals and bearings checked, and actuators tested while the vessel is out of the water.
Underwater Lighting Maintenance & Upgrades
Light housings and seals are inspected for water intrusion, lenses cleared of growth, and units repaired or upgraded to new LED fixtures.

Fishing Boat Haul-Out

Get a tailored quote for your fishing boat’s land operations.

What We Do During Haul-Out
Standard land operations, plus the heavier running-gear care fishing boats need.

Rudder & Steering Gear Check
Rudder, bearings and steering linkage are inspected for wear, play and correct alignment.
Heavy-Duty Running Gear Service
Given the extra hours fishing boats spend at sea, running gear, shaft seals and cutless bearings get a closer inspection and more frequent replacement.

Sailboat Haul-Out

Get a tailored quote for your sailboat’s land operations.

What We Do During Haul-Out
Standard land operations, plus the structural checks unique to sailboats.
Haul-Out & Pressure Wash
A professional travel-lift haul-out followed by a full pressure wash to strip marine growth, weed and barnacles from the hull.

Rudder & Steering Gear Check
Rudder, bearings and steering linkage are inspected for wear, play and correct alignment.
Keel & Keel-Bolt Inspection
The keel, keel joint and keel bolts are inspected for stress cracking, weeping or movement — critical structural checks only possible on the hard.
Osmosis / Blister Treatment
Suspect gelcoat blisters are opened, dried and treated — or a full osmosis treatment applied — to stop moisture damage progressing through the laminate.
Underwater Lighting Maintenance & Upgrades
Light housings and seals are inspected for water intrusion, lenses cleared of growth, and units repaired or upgraded to new LED fixtures.

How We Track Every Project

Every refit and haul-out at YachtWatchCare runs on a structured, milestone-based schedule — the same discipline behind tools like a Gantt chart or MS Project — so progress is always measurable and reported, not just described after the fact.

Example Project Timeline

A simplified view of how a project is broken into phases and tracked week by week:

Example schedule for illustration only. Your project's actual plan, phases and dates are agreed with you at kickoff and updated as work progresses — the same approach applies whether it's a full refit or a haul-out.
Milestone Sign-Off
Each phase has a defined scope and a clear completion checklist before work moves on to the next stage.
Progress Tracked Against Plan
Every job is scheduled with start and end dates per phase and tracked against that plan — the same logic as a Gantt chart or MS Project timeline.
Photo-Documented Reports
Inspection notes and photos are logged at each stage, so there's always a record of what was found and what was done.
Scheduled Updates
You receive a status update at every milestone, not just at the end, so there are no surprises about where the project stands.
